contemporary additions
Added to the rear of a heritage residence is a contemporary styled addition of family living area and new kitchen. The room faces on to a courtyard garden and a garage that doubles up as an entertaining pavilion.- Slide 8
multi level pavillions
The design of this new residence takes into account the sloping site. Internal ground floor levels step down the site wrapping around a central courtyard and terraces. The pavillions vary in height from one to two storeys — with a guest studio at the front of the property — allowing the main house privacy and access to views and sunshine. Materials used are industrial generally with recycled face bricks used both externally and internally. The large scale of the residence is reduced visually by the use of different pavillions.- Slide 7
artist residence and studio
A new fully sustainable residence set in a remote country location using industrial type materials. The informal living, dining and kitchen areas open onto large decks in both directions maximising the flexibility and views of the site. The separate studio is able to also be used for safe car storage in the case of fires in the area. The design suits the artist as a working environment but equally suited to entertaining guests.- Slide 5

Rustic French Reference
New residence designed in a rustic style – with reference to the owners’ French origins. Designed to suit wheelchair access throughout the house including an appropriate kitchen. The architectural rustic theme was followed through to the shaped interiors of natural coloured tones, and to the landscaped outdoor terraces providing the clients with a unique elegant home designed for their specific needs.- Slide 2

Major refurbishment of a large residence – working with the basic shell of the building and creating a contemporary home for a family maintaining their previous art collection. The new layout connects the main living areas to terraces and gardens for entertaining. The interiors reflect the contemporary refurbishment with shapes, spaces and colours to display the art collection. Elegant Quality
New residence designed for a steeply inclined site. The house and gardens are designed over many levels and yet maintain a more traditional style throughout including the interiors. Capturing excellent views at each level, the home was designed to suit entertaining whilst at the same time maintaining a comfortable scale for the family. The children were provided with a pavilion in the uppermost garden – and the lowest level opens on to a lap pool with a 2 storey height stone wet wall for water circulation. The balance of spaces for adults and children, family and friends has made this home extremely functional – whilst assuming an understated elegance.- Slide 4
Country Retreat
Major refurbishment of a country retreat to include new guest quarters and significant landscaping. Entering the property via their forest area, the open landscaped area at the top of the hill remains private for the clients and their guests overlooking the country. Other farm buildings, manager’s house, etc are concealed from view. All services are fully operated from their car prior to arrival. A major outdoor entertaining pavilion overlooks the formal pool area – whilst the indoors provides a number of open fireplaces for winter evenings. An extremely elegant residential country escape designed for a busy executive to unwind and relax.
